1944 australian penny value

Hi, I have recently inherited a great big box of old coins (I now get why collecting coins is so much fun). I have found this 1944 Australian Penny with the Dot mintmark. Does that mean its a rare coin?? Thanks for your advice! I have lots more unusual coins, that you may be interested in, I will upload as I go.
